Recently, Yamaha launched the latest version of the MT-15 2.0 with a few upgrades. This MT-15 primarily targets young people who look for a stylish design, power performance, a brand name, and reliability. Yamaha bikes have a fan base starting from the RX-100 and now the R15 and MT-15. This brand of vehicles is known for its powerful engines compared to other bike brands. The price of this street bike starts from the ex-showroom price of Rs 1.69 lakhs in India.
Key Highlights of Yamaha MT-15 2.0
Firstly, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 2.0 version is a street bike with a stylish appearance and sharp eye-look LED headlights. This vehicle is available in two versions, Standard and DXL, each offering slight variations. The DXL version has new colour upgrades and colored alloy wheels for the most stylish looks. The new features we can observe in the Yamaha MT-15 2.0 version are upside-down front forks, which are helpful for better compression and responsive handling. This 2.0 version has a Traction Control system that helps the ride safely on slippery roads and avoids wheel spin.
The front and rear wheels have disc brakes, which are used for braking at speeds and improve overall safety. Regarding wheel dimensions, the front wheel has a 100/80-section tyre, and the rear, which is a radial tyre, has a 140/70-section tyre. Both wheels are 17-inch alloy wheels.

Regarding the engine specs, the Yamaha MT-15 second version has a 155 cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 18.4 ps of power and 14.1 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox that helps the bike run smoothly and gives better handling. This bike also comes with dual-channel ABS, which makes the ride safer and is one of the best safety features.
The dimensions in this new version have not changed. The length is 2,015 mm, the width is 800 mm, and the height is 1,070 mm. The seat height is 810 mm, enough for people above 5’4″ and sufficient to handle the bike’s weight of 141 kg. They can easily handle the bike. This bike has enough ground clearance of 170 mm, sufficient for Indian Road Conditions. It can easily cross over any bumps or speed breakers. The fuel tank capacity is 10 L, enough for city rides.

Yamaha MT-15 2.0 Features, Y-Connect, and Colour Options
The colored TFT display, available in the DLX variant, shows navigation, fuel consumption indicator, Gear indicator, side stand engine cut-off switch, and Y-connect, to which we can connect our smartphone through Bluetooth. The Y-connect feature shows all these features on our mobile phone.
The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 2.0 version has six colour options: standard variants in metallic Black and Metallic Silver Cyan, the Deluxe variant in Metallic Black with orange-coloured alloy wheels, Ice Storm, and Vivid Violet Metallic. The last colour option is the Moto GP edition, with a Monster design on the petrol tank.
