Maruti Suzuki is a renowned and leading automobile company in the country. This automobile brand has all types of cars available in every segment, like a hatchback, compact sedan, sedan, compact SUV, SUV, and off-road mini SUV. It is leading in the top 5 car sales every month and has had a good, reliable engine for an extended period. So, in many Maruthi Suzuki cars, there hasn’t been a four- or five-star safety-rated vehicle, but the wait has now finished, and it comes with the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
The New Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the first car with a five-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. It is sold in the compact segment, and customers have chosen this vehicle for many years as a trusted, reliable engine. This five-star safety rating gives Maruti more advantages than any other car brand. The number of sales is big every month compared to other automobile companies. The cars available in Maruti Suzuki are Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Celerio, Breeza, Fronx, Wagon R and more. It has every segment of vehicles available, is affordable to customers, and has low maintenance with a good, reliable engine.
Specifications
The new Dzire is available in petrol and CNG options, offering good power, torque, and mileage. It is also available in 9 different variants, and some features are compromised according to your chosen variant. Manual and Automatic transmissions are available in the Dzire, providing a smooth engine start-up. There are some cool features available in the new Dzire. First is the sunroof; another safe and essential feature is the 360-degree camera. The ex-showroom price of Dzire starts from 6.79 lakhs to 10.14 lakhs(top model).
Engine
The Dzire is available with a 1.2-liter Petrol engine option. This petrol engine offers 80 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque, which is decent for city driving. The CNG option offers 69 bhp of power and 102 Nm of torque and runs on the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. Previously, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire was provided with a four-cylinder engine option, but now it is delivered with a three-cylinder Z series engine option. It is available with a manual transmission with a five-speed gearbox or an automatic transmission. The Maruti Suzuki is known for producing reliable engine options that are considerable for the long run. Also, from the past few years to now, it has had good resale value and has been at the top of the market.
Exterior
The exterior of the Dzire is very subtle and good-looking compared to the previous one. It has LED headlights on the front and an elegant and classic-looking front design. Compared to the previous Dzire, the car’s dimensions have not changed much except the height, which has increased slightly. The alloy wheels are 15 inches at the top and 14 inches in the low-end variants. The best part is the sunroof on the top and the 360-degree camera provided on the exterior. Compared to the previous look, this new look is very appealing and the best design available in the compact sedan segment.
Interior
The interior cabin of Dzire is excellent and has enough space to accommodate five people. The steering wheel’s touch and feel are similar to the previous one. It has a 9-inch touch screen, which allows Android Auto and Apple Carplay to connect. Four speakers and two tweeters produce good sound quality when listening to good base music. Wireless phone charging is also available in the Dzire’s top variant. The front dashboard is neat and perfect, with a classy design. Also, the armrest is provided for front passengers to rest their hands, which is a good feature when travelling for long rides.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the new Dzire have not changed much. It is in a sub-four-meter segment, measuring 3995 mm in length, 1735 mm in width, and 1525 mm in height. It offers 163 mm of ground clearance, and the wheelbase is 2450 mm.
Safety
Compared to the previous Dzire build quality, this new one has a high build-quality structure. Also, it got a five-star safety rating from the Global NCAP Crash test and includes all safety features. Some safety features included are an Anti-lock braking system(ABS), 6 Airbags, TPMS, Electronic Stability Control(ESC), and Hill assist.
Mileage
After improving the car’s build quality, the mileage is still good for the Petrol and CNG options. The Auto Gear Shift(AGS) and automatic transmission offer the highest mileage, with 25.7 km. The manual provides 24.7 kmpl, and CNG provides 33.73 km/kg. The mileage is suitable and efficient after launching the new Dzire.
Due to their low maintenance, most previous Dzire cars are used in taxis and cab facilities within the MNCs. But with this new Dzire look, no one will use it for taxi purposes. Instead, they will use it as a family vehicle.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Rivals
There are many rivals in this segment because most families prefer compact sedans in this price category. The vehicles that compete with Dzire are the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura. All these vehicles are the best in the compact sedan segment; their only differences are their design, features, drive quality, safety, and reliable engine.
From this year onwards, Maruti Suzuki will continue introducing these safety-quality cars. This initiative should be next in the coming years, as safety is prioritised over all else. Because so many people are awarding safety, there is a vast scope for safety-built-quality vehicles. Maruti Suzuki has lagged in build quality for the past few years, but with this, I hope they improve build quality.
