Allu Kanakaratnam, the wife of Legendary Actor Allu Ramalingaiah, passed away on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. She died of age-related causes at the age of 94. Her death brought so much sadness to the Mega and Allu families, as she was considered the main pillar of the legacy. Allu Kanakaratnam and Allu Ramalingaiah’s children are Allu Aravind, Surekha Konidela, Nava Bharathi, and Vasantha Lakshmi. They both had great children, one of whom is Allu Arvind, an Indian Film Producer. Their grandsons are Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Venkatesh, Ram Charan, Sreeja, and Sushmita. Allu Ramalingaiah, for his contribution to cinema, achieved the Padma Shri. He was a great Indian actor and comedian, and he has acted in a number of movies.
Allu Kanakaratnam has led an excellent life and is proud to be the wife of Allu Ramalingaiah and mother of Allu Aravind. She is also proud to be the mother-in-law of Megastar Chiranjeevi, one of India’s greatest actors. At the time of her death, she was staying at the Allu Arvind family’s home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. She passed away at 1.45 a.m. on Saturday. Family well-wishers, Telugu Film Industry, film actors like Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya, Murali Krishna, Krishnam Raju’s wife, Dil Raju, and more attended to pay last respects.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun stood in the forefront for her funeral, and Allu Aravind, her son, held the earthen pot filled with burning coal, a custom tradition of the Telugu states. Her funeral rites are carried out in Kokapet in the afternoon.
