Finally, Honda has launched a 125cc segment vehicle in India with its engine refinement, features, and comfort. The Honda CB125 Hornet is budget-friendly and affordable, offering the best fuel efficiency and ride handling. This bike is a perfect competitor to 125cc segment vehicles such as the TVS Raider, Hero Extreme, and Pulsar NS125. The price of the CB125 Hornet has not yet been revealed but will be on 1 August 2025. This 125 cc two-wheeler has four colour options red, blue, neon, and black. Also, the bookings for this vehicle will start from August 1st.
Honda engines are known for producing the world’s most refined vehicles and for offering long-lasting performance. For Indian riders, Honda Vehicles are the most trusted because of their best refinement and consistent performance in every segment of 2-wheeler vehicles. Not only bikes but also scooters are getting high sales every month because of their best refinement and performance. Some of the famous 2-wheelers that have high sales are the Honda Shine, Unicorn, Hornet, and Activa Scooter.
Honda CB125 Hornet Performance Analysis: Power, Safety, and Fuel Economy

The Honda CB125 offers a 123.94 cc air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gear system. This engine is based on the Honda Shine 125, but there is a slight increase in power and torque in the CB125. This bike is specifically meant for youngsters because of its sporty design and performance. It produces 11 bhp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque for the bike’s overall performance. A single-channel ABS with front disc brake ensures proper braking stability on slippery roads. It comes with a 12-litre fuel tank capacity, and this vehicle, which comes under the 125 cc segment, is expected to have an expected mileage of above 50 kmpl.
Honda CB125 Hornet’s Visual Appeal – Gold USD Forks and Aggressive LED Setup
Compared to other segment vehicles in the same engine category, the Honda CB125 Hornet bike has an excellent sporty design, with LED lights in the front and rear. For a more premium appearance, the front has Gold USD forks, which give it a sporty and unique appearance. On the front, it has four sections of LED lights, which add the best design to the bike and provide better visibility at night. The side panels attached to the fuel tank add a sporty feel to the rider, giving a muscular look and enhancing the overall road presence. This CB125 comes with the split seat option, offering the rider comfort, and the pillion (rear) seat has less space, which you should compromise on.
Both the front and rear section tyres have 17 ” wheels, which add body colour to the alloy wheels and give the car a sporty look. Compared to the rear section tyre of the TVS Raider, this CB125 Hornet has a slightly increased wheel dimension of 110/80. The rear section provides better grip and road stability at corners and high speeds, ensuring a confident riding experience. It also has an advanced suspension system, which absorbs shocks effectively and provides a smooth and comfortable ride in city and rural commuting. The vehicle’s seat height is also accessible for short riders, with a 796mm seat height.
Smart Tech Meets Reliable Performance in the 125cc Segment

The specifications of the Honda CB125 Hornet include a 4.2″ TFT display with a Bluetooth option, a USB Type-C port, and the RoadSync app. Other safety features include an engine stop switch and a side-stand indicator. At this price range, minimal features are available with practical use, focusing on daily commuters. This bike comes under the premium 125 cc segment vehicles with the best reliable engine, premium build quality, and all LED lights.
The Honda CB125 Hornet is a premium bike that combines sporty design, engine performance, seat comfort, and practical features. This bike is perfectly suited to youngsters and first-time buyers. If you are looking for a bike under 150 cc for daily commuting, then this bike is for you. Before purchasing the bike, take a test ride, and if you feel it is best for you, then decide.
