The New 2025 BMW X3 has been launched in India, and bookings started in April. There are some changes compared to the previous X3 version of BMW, which may be in the power, interior, and grill. This is available only in the M Sport variant, which adds this segment’s sporty design, performance, and features. BMW vehicles are mostly driver-oriented, which gives us the thrill and pleasure of driving for long periods. Two engine options are available in the BMW X3, starting with an ex-showroom price of 75.80 lakh to Rs 77.80 lakh.
Powerful Engine Options with AWD Capability for a Confident Drive

The BMW X3 was first displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which was held from 17 to 22 January 2025 in New Delhi. This X3 has petrol and diesel engine options with a 2-litre capacity. The Petrol engine produces 187 bhp of power and 310 NM of torque, while the Diesel option produces 194 bhp of power and 400 NM of torque. It comes with an 8-speed gearbox with automatic transmission, allowing for smooth gearshifts and enabling you to enjoy the drive in city and highway commuting. This is a perfect five-seater SUV that comfortably accommodates passengers both in the front and in the rear. This is an AWD drive vehicle, enabling us to drive better in off-road or slippery conditions. Also, it helps with better traction and driving stability and gives us confidence for better driving handling.
This X3 has all four disc brakes for better braking at high speeds. When it comes to mileage, petrol is efficient at 13 kmpl, and Diesel is efficient at around 17 kmpl.
Sporty Exterior Design with Practical Enhancements

The X3 gets a new, fresh grill with vertical and diagonal lines. The design looks cool and stylish and has a premium appeal. The front LED headlamps give an aggressive look that offers better visibility on night drives. It has 19-inch alloy wheels with good grip and stability, especially at high speeds, delivering a confident driving experience. BMW has introduced tubeless tyres instead of traditional run-flat tyres, which were used in previous BMW cars. The tubeless tyres, which are better suited for Indian Road conditions, offer improved ride comfort, and they are the best practical option. Also, the tail lamps at the rear section of the X3 offer a sporty look that gives the SUV a modern and best road presence. This vehicle gets a 360-degree camera setup, front and rear parking sensors for better safety.

Comfortable Cabin with Luxury Touches and Advanced Features

This vehicle falls into the premium segment, and we can expect the best interior cabin in the BMW X3. The seats are very comfortable for five people and offer a ventilated seat option and lumbar and thigh support. The front dashboard looks simple, with the digital instrument cluster and touch screen with a connected option. Not many premium materials were used in the interior cabin, most were plastic and fabric. This Automatic transmission vehicle gets paddle shifters along with boost mode for better performance and to enjoy the best ride quality. There are very few buttons to use, which are on the steering wheel, and the rest are touchscreen options. It has a big panoramic glass roof, giving us the best experience of the outside view and a bright, roomy feeling. Also, it gets the best boot space, which is preferably suited for long family trips.
When it comes to entertainment, this gets the 15-speaker Harman Kardon system, which allows us to experience rich, premium music quality. We should enjoy the quality of the music from Harman Kardon on long drives, which gives us a relaxing vibe.
Premium Interior Features with Smart Connectivity
This comes with wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, Android, and Apple CarPlay support. It also has a camera inside the cabin for video recording, which is helpful for driver monitoring and security. The X3 also features ambient lighting, which provides a better lighting effect at night. The 14.9-inch touchscreen, which we can use to operate most things, is smooth and easy. In this BMW X3, all the required practical features are used by a driver and passenger who are provided with their comfort and enjoy it throughout the drive.
Advanced Safety Features for a Confident Drive
Now that BMW cars are being manufactured in India at the Chennai plant, safety is not compromised. The structured body uses high-strength steel, which improves its rigidity, allowing it to withstand any crash. German cars specialise first in performance-driven vehicles and then improve the safety standards for customer safety. Some safety features used in the BMW X3 are a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ADAS, 6 Airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, Traction Control, Hill Assist, and TPMS. This many safety options are provided for driver and passenger safety to ensure a quality driving experience and confident handling.
Is the BMW X3 the Right Choice for You?
This would be a better choice if you want clean and happy driving in the city. However, it is not well suited for you if you concentrate on premium-touch materials. Then, you can go for higher models in BMW, where you can experience everything at a premium level. The BMW X3 competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLC model and Audi’s Q5. If you are planning to purchase around 90 lakhs, research all these vehicles and take a test drive to decide which vehicle suits you.
