Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023.

The award will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on September 23, 2025.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed the news through an official post on X.

Mohanlal was born on May 21, 1960, in Elanthoor, Kerala.

He made his acting debut in 1978 with the Malayalam film Thiranottam.

Over a career spanning more than 40 years, he has acted in 400+ films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Mohanlal has also won two National Awards for Best Actor, further Strengthening his place as one of India’s greatest actors.
